both pfizer and moderna show good effectivity. these are doses. one does end alone is not as effective as it was with the other ones, but that is okay because we want you to complete the full dose. johnson & johnson just came out with information showing that it is also preventing severe illness against the delta variant. we saw that study several months ago that show that johnson & johnson was preventing serious illness in south africa. at the time, the delta variant was the dominant strain there. these vaccines are doing a great job. if you get a breakthrough infection, which means that you still get the coronavirus and covid-19, that is okay. in some situations, it is expected to have some breakthrough infections. means that you are less likely to get sick. >> and here's another question. how soon until we know if we need booster shots. >> i'm going to one up that question, which is, what if we mix. what if we mix the vaccines and you have the j&j then go out and get pfizer or moderna or vice versa, because i did read that oxford researchers fo

would it be okay for me to get a moderna booster going forward, or the other way around?> so, i can't definitively say that for now because it hasn't been tested. there have been no clinical trials with the mixing of pfizer, moderna, astrazeneca, and johnson & johnson. i will say, though, that although moderna has remained silent on this issue for now, they began clinical trials on whether or not a booster was needed months ago, when the uk variant first appeared. so we should be expecting to hear something along similar sentiment. if pfizer is truly seeing data that shows that immunity is waning and booster shots are needed, moderna is also an mrna vaccine. their data is likely to show the same. however, we don't have any evidence that mixing doses or mixing different types of vaccine is going to offer you the same type of protection. >> okay. there is new data, two studies released on thursday that confirmed that children remain at very low risk of complications and death from coronavirus infections. british researchers looked into this, and the numbers are encouraging
