we are sfrof the moms 4 housing house where moms have been evicted this morning. alameda county sheriff's department is on scene here and as you can see here there is an incredible crowd here in support of the moms and the kids who live in this house. their presence in this home on magnolia street has caused a national conversation about housing and the lack of it. wedgewood properties has of course offered to play for the next 2 months of a shelter but the moms called that offer an insult. they want the home to be sold to the oakland community land trust in which the city would then own it and the money would be given back to wedgewood properties and if that were to happen that would ensure that wooem who were working -- who were working people -- who were working class. wedgewood refuses to negotiate with them. wedgewood says that their offer still stands and that they've been disappointed that the moms have not accepted it. right now as the alameda county sheriff's department is still on scene. we know some people have been removed force burglary from the home.
