let's go to monika santami at 4:27.t to the day. >>> it's a chilly start to the day and we have a huge sinkhole. that's going to be the big story in bladensburg on the westbound side of route 450 at route 1. it's completely blocked off. you are being alternated through the area to alternate route 1 and back over to route 450. it is going to create a bit of a bottleneck. i suggest you use alternate routes. the bw parkway is going to be a good route. again westbound route 450 completely shut down at route 1 in bladensburg with a very large sinkhole. authorities are going to have to wait till after the morning rush hour to deal with that situation. outside live new york avenue at bladensburg road. further in northeast looks fine right now. now to the west side of town. on the inbound side of the dulles toll road construction had blocked that off. you're being diverted on to the outer loop of the beltway. keep that in mind if you're just now heading out the door. at shady grove road, no problems coming in from frederick. co

monika santami is in. big problems toward the dunkirk area on route 4. >>> if you're planning to head out of dunkirk to waysons corner this is a serious scene of an accident that happened on route 4 at route 258. a medevac helicopter had arrived at the scene about 20 minutes or so ago. a live look from sky 9, route 4 at route 258. you can see traffic being diverted here at 258 by police. so let me go ahead and show you where it is on a map and what you can do northbound side. go ahead and take route 2 as your alternate route. make your way around to central avenue and on the southbound side, it's going to be route 301 that you're going to need to use again. route 4 is closed at route 258. another problem on the northbound side of 95. this one is in triangle. it's been a disabled tractor- trailer. i would say for almost an hour it's been sitting there along the right side of the roadway. look at that delay on the northbound side of 95 trying to get into triangle and crews there tell us it's going to be abou

monika santami is standing by with time saver traffic. >>> i don't have very good news on the southbound side of 270 here before i-370. the good news is that the accident was moved to the shoulder. you can see that in the center of your screen just under that live sign there. but delays are for two to three miles heading southbound on i- 270. this was a three-vehicle accident. one of the vehicles was a motorcycle so it had blocked the two left lanes for a while. let me show you where it is on a map so you can get perspective on the southbound side of 270 at i-370 and again as you saw the lanes have now been reopened but the damage is done unfortunately. let's go live to 395 on the northbound side. same story here. this accident has been sitting here on the shoulder for a while. looks like just police are left on the scene but take a look at the delay down at edsall road. it's pretty solid. we'll go to the traffic camera on the northbound side of 395. this all begins down at the beltway if not up north on springfield -- 95 heading up on to 395 toward duke street. the lanes are open but ve

let's go to monika santami. how are the roads looking right now? >>> you just have the normal slow stuff all around town. no big incidents to report. i'm starting off with the beltway here. you can see most of it is green around town. that means you're moving at the speed limit. if you're planning to head over to the north side of town, 270 you can see is slowing down just a bit here in gaithersburg. you're good to go through rockville and bethesda and down to the point where the lanes divide. a live look at the beltway. outer loop side normal as you leave 95 into silver spring. this is what it looks like. all lanes are open for you but below the speed limit through that stretch. we'll go back over to the beltway and the south side of town looking good through andrews air force base to oxon hill. no problems on route 5 out of brandywine. if you're planning to head here on new york avenue at bladensburg road in northeast that corridor is fine as well. coming up in my next report, we'll take a peek into the district at 6:25. >>> 6:19 now. next in spo
