we're about 3 to 4 inches fell in montgomery county. howard and frederick and northern loudoun to the pan handle of west virginia. closer to the metro area around 5 inches fell in our southern and western suburbs to six inches in southern maryland toward fredericksburg. fluffy dry snow. it's going to be easy to remove. get the broom out and take care of it as soon as you can. as the day goes on it may be compacting more and more. temperatures in the teens will keep it frozen and keep it snow covered for the morning commute in the mid teens. the afternoon commute the sun comes out. that will heat the pavement up. we may get the meltings. the problem is it freezes up again. even though air temperatures will stay below freezing. the pavement temperatures may get a little below freezing and freeze up with patchy ice overnight down to the teens tomorrow morning. and snow showers likely tomorrow afternoon. that's our next chance of snow. strong cold front comes in trigger snow showers that may give us an additional amount of snow. similar to
