and it's something because i did work with people like -- even as a teenager, working on senator moynahan's first race in 76. i've been preparing my entire, life elected office nearly 30 years of working in the private sector working as a lieutenant governor for nearly seven years i really been in a position where i was absorbing so much information, and i realize that i truly do have the ability to govern this state. and it was something that i did not know until i was in that chair. my first week in the job was days, the subway, the entire new york city subway shut down. i had to race to this city, find out what was wrong and get the trains running again. ten days after that, we had a hurricane, decimate parts of our city. particularly new york city, queens, we lost peoples lives because they were trapped in their own homes. and basements and they never should've been living in this subhuman conditions. in addition to that, i had to get the money out that i just spoke about, because there's people hurting in the state. and to make sure we continue to protect people and get more vaccines.
