mr. robert cook who passed away. as born 72 years ago, and he was part of a quaker family. he was an avid cyclist and 100 mile rides were everyday for him. he would not be one to brag or boast. it wasn't his way. for 45 years, he ran nomad cycleary. he would continue to run it for another 25 years. his legacy is with an account mechanic who trained and the countless programs he launched and the countless kids that got their first bike from roger. roger sold bikes with his turn style and shaking first timers out on first avenue to get comfortable and when they got comfortable, they returned for advice for their next purchase and the one after that. i bought my first bicycle from nomad and my kids bought theirs too and we kept going back and roger was the one to see. it was for his terms and salesman ship. he never pushed a purchase and sometimes appeared as if he couldn't care less about the sale. he cared about the sale but he cared infinitely more about something else and his trust and manner and cared about people.
