of the fact that comprehensive immigration reform, by many on both sides of the aisle, including mr. ryanay in the senate, has been something that is viewed as a priority item. can the gentleman tell me whether or not there is a near- term -- i that, i mean prior to the august break -- expectation that we will have any movement in this house on immigration reform? that thed say judiciary committee is very involved in the discussion around these issues and is intending to address the issue of immigration this month. certainly my hope is that we in this house can see a full debate on the floor throughout the committee process and to make sure that we can address what is a very broken immigration system. i know that the gentleman shares with me the commitment to try to do all we can to reflect the notion of trying to address a broken system. i yield back. >> i think the gentleman for those comments written look forward to us in that. agree that the system is broken, needs to be fixed, and my view, and i think the view of many, and certainly the senators who came together and offer the bill t

mr. cantor and kevin mccarthy and paul ryan back in 2007, they decided to embrace a nickname given to themy standard magazine, the young guns. it's 2007, these guys are young and totally with it. republicans are young and they're so young and vital. but then, you know, life happens, nobody stays young forever. and at a certain point, a nickname like young guns starts to feel like false advertising. you could change it to something like middle aged but holding up okay guns. another awkward thing here, though, is the original young guns were all guys. in trying to make the republican party seem less like it was all guys, the young guns tried to start a new effort last year called yg woman up. and right after they started that, they released their slate of endorsed candidates for congress in 2012 which actually had fewer proportionally fewer women than were already serving in congress. so that ended up being an awkward thing too. woman up by which we mean women down. now, though, they -- these guys are taking another crack at it. >>> republican house majority >>> senator saxby chambliss bliss

. >> i can quickly if i can with you, ryan, does the administration pursue mr.hus further his heroism in the minds of his supporters or does the white house leave him out there? >> well, it's an interesting dynamic because on the one hand, the white house will say ha it welcomes a debate. and on the other hand, it will be hounding the person that started this debate. so you know, it will be worth watching capitol hill to see if anybody stands up for snowden and suggests that the white house back off of him. but you know, they're going to pursue him vigorously no question about it. we'll -- he'll become kind of a pawn in international relations if he stays in hong kong, he'll become a pawn between china and the united states. if he goes somewhere else, he'll become a pawn in those debates. so far but there's know question that they're going to go after him. they don't like to be embarrassed and have a record of going after whistleblowers with an extime amount of intensity. >> certainly do. ryan grim andnial, thank you so much both of you. >>> coming up, the presi
