. >> supervisor walton: thank you so much. thank you so much, mr. bloch. just same question. how important do you think it is for diversity on this oversight committee? >> i think that diversity is absolutely important on this commission. i also think having people who have some experience in this industry is very important. and i will say for our union, our focus is on increasing diversity in the workforce, because a lot of these policy debates have had people like me running around, advocating. the worker voice piece has really been missing in sacramento, in san francisco. and for our union, and i applaud the laborers for the work they've done, but we have people who come directly out of san quentin and get e.d.d. grants. and we run them through our training program and in five weeks, they have a commercial driver's license and they're doing union work. and they should be working for recology, they should be working for auto return, they should be working for every single company that has a permit or a contract with the city around county of san francisco. and so that's wha

when supervisor yee and walton visited the unit, as you know, stefani, mr. browner came to our group and totally dismissed the families and asked supervisor walton and yourself to step into an office with him, so he can talk privately with you. but supervisor walton refused his invitation and stated to browner, that whatever he has to say, he can say it in front of the families. supervisor safai and stefani, just like you've seen how the staff was the day you both arrived, because they knew we were coming. it's how the sub-acute should have been staffed at all times. where is the transparency and compassion for the families? in addition, inadequate staffing, the sub-acute patients are also not thriving because they are -- they do not have the designated activities coordinator to give them stimulation throughout the day. because the activities coordinator is handling both the s.n.f. and subacute patients. the priority is given to the s.n.f. patients who are more alert and mobile. the sub-acute patients had an outstanding designated activities coordinator at st

mr. chris foley. your interest and experience and qualifications for this seat. >> thank you, supervisor walton, supervisorpervisor ronen. i was nominated for this because i did the renovation of st. joseph's at 10th and howard. that was a very interesting project. it was actually vacant for 31 years. the building was actually failing. the whole north side of the building had been leaking for over 25 years. and it was collapsing. and in that transaction, what happened was we actually got denied from the national parks service for initial renovation. and we had -- the national parks service, we had to go back to washington, d.c. to re-apply for our rep. and what we had to do, we had to take the bridge, that is connecting the two mezzanines, and make it from 8 feet to 6 feet. and once we did, that the national park service approved our tax credit application for that project. the project itself is a new market tax credit, historic tax credit, transaction in the united states, only six done in the year that i did that. it's a very complicated transaction. it's about 24 inches tall, just to sign the documents.
