you're watching "the daily rundown" only on msnbc.?ñ?h >> that's the music.ay we take a deep dive into the sequester cuts. those rules congress put in place to force the federal government to tighten its belt. it was working until last friday. that's when congressional lawmakers saw faa furloughs take their toll in the form of longer lines and flight delays. so they took action. kind of. what congress did was take money earmarked for airport repairs down the road and used it to plug the financial hole left by the sequester. president obama signed the legislation into law wednesday but before he did he criticized it as a short-term band-aid that treats the symptoms rather than the disease. >> these cuts are scheduled to keep falling across other parts of the government that provide vital services for the american people. and we can't justi can't keep puttiput ing band-aids on a cut. i hope members of congress will find the same sense of urgency and bipartisan cooperation to help the families still in the crosshairs of these cuts. >> the programs he's referring
