i would like to thank mta for the presentation and supervisor mar for his additional hearing on the mta budget focusing on bike safety. to put an over lay on everything that i think leea shim talked about. we have a huge opportunity now to respond to the crisis we have in san francisco. we have a lot of unity on this board, i think complete unity about the real need for safety and looking at all aspects on our budget particularly bike safety and our vision zero is something that is unprecedented in this city in terms of having such consensus from the board to direct our city departments to work together to enhance pedestrian safety efforts. i just think it's really critical that as the mta is putting forward it's budget and planning that that safety can be part of every aspect of decision making just behind-the-scenes everywhere. it's really critical. i'm glad to see that we are seeing an increase from 1-2 percent for the bicycle infrastructure. i think we do need much much more and i think that the fact that we are increasing bike usage, but we are not seeing a decrease in collisions m

we're now working closely with our colleagues at the mta that implement pilots to help us design that and will be coming back to the community i think on april 30th to talk about this more. the timeline this is excuse me. that is an overview of the different steps we're in this back one right now. we're planning on the before the pilot begin collecting data to compare to the final outcome of the pilot and anticipating the pilots 4 to 6 weeks. we're going to design that as we move further along with the metric and finally analyzing the pilot data for or against operations. so this is sort of an overall timeline phase one is complete and twaes phase two is anticipated to run through the summer and one of the benchmarks is thriving of the warriors project they're anticipating august right now. so in phase two again, we're looking at the two pieces the longer bar is the sf they're doing is an in debt regional network to understand how the big picture is going to be causing demand we noetd need to meet and below the pilots the red line developing the pilots and implement that and be done w
