we have also learned that mayor muriel bowser as well as the d.c.hat officer's resignation. now, it was nearly a year ago in the early morning of september 11th that 31-year-old terrence sterling was shot by officer trainer. officer trainer was a passenger in a police cruiser and the they were following sterling's motorcycle. the officer that told investigators that sterling had been driving erratically and what happened during the traffic stop was put into question because officer trainer did not turn on his body worn camera until after shooting terrence sterling once in the neck and once on the side. >> to ignore race would be to ignore the facts and the sterling family is it not going to ignore the facts. i suspect that the public will not ignore the facts. the facts show definitively that terrence was unarmed, that he was shot in the back and that there was a camera that was nearby and none of us have been given access to that camera. >> reporter: now sterling's family as well as their attorney say this fight is not over. the sterling family has

former transportation secretary ray la hood will be meeting with governors mcauliffe and hogan and muriel bowsere three jurisdictions on the same page about how to get this extra funding for metro. will it be a gas t be a regional sales tax? will it be up to the individual jurisdictions to make up their own minds about how to find the money. washington post reported today there's another disagreement about how to do this. it blew up in a behind closed door meeting yesterday. i spoke to ray la hood today. it was brought in by governor mcauliffe to deal with this issue. he said in so many words right now there is no consensus on how to fund metro's needs for the next decade. taxes are unpopular. jurisdictions don't want one regional solution. stuck on all of them to abide by. but even if the three main jurisdictions have their own disagreements between them within each of the jurisdictions there are disagreements. i'll give you one short example. in maryland some believe that the issue could be handled with existing funding, just give metro a larger percentage of already existing transportation fu

in fact mayor muriel bowser said yesterday she's calling for the officer's resignation. 31-year-old sterlingt by officer trainor on sept september11th in the early morning hours just after 4:30 in the morning. officer trainor and his partner were following sterling's motorcycle, and they told investigators that sterling had been driving erratically but exactly what happened during that traffic stop still in question or was put no question because officer trainor didn't turn on his body worn camera until after the shooting took place. now the u.s. attorney's office maintain a grand jury was presented with extensive evidence i'm talking 911 calls, radio runs, surveillance video, cell phone video, but despite all of that, prosecutors said that there was inefficient evidence, prosecutors also say that sterling was going as fast as upwards of 100 miles per hour, that he nearly sideswiped a cruiser and that his blood alcohol level was . w twice the legal amount here in the district of columbia. we spoke to jason downs the family's attorney earlier this morning while he was live on our air and he h
