we'll go to chad myers in atlanta. chad chad, tell us what happened, how large this tornado was, how long it was on the ground in the oklahoma city area. now you hear governor fallin telling us she hears sirens for a possible third event going on. what can you tell us about that? >> there is a new tornado warning now in effect for the lake stanley/draper area east all the way to mccloud. now, that is still south of oklahoma city proper, but that's the new tornado warning that was just issued. we are getting the first pictures from kfor of the damage, and we saw live on television, jake, that tornado what we call rope out, literally turn into just a small rope. and then it completely dissipated. so what the kfor chopper did is say, okay, this storm is problemly over. it's left the metro area proper, the heaviest populated area. let's fly to the west. let's see what this did. that's what you're seeing there on the right of your screen. that would be the damage that's coming out of moore. i've seen an awful lot of emergen

chad myers? where are you and what are you seeing? >> i'm still about eight to ten miles now southeast of the storm, having a very good look right into what we call the cage to the storm. the hail is on the north side. if you look at a tornado from the north, all you're going to see is hail. if you look from the west, all you'll see is rain from the back. i'm looking at it direct from the southeast. the tornado still on the ground about a mile, mile and a half south of i-40. it could possibly even cross over i-40. maybe toward that chisolm trail park. i'm probably within four miles, i think, of the circulation of the downtown ucon area. if you're in the ucon area, you need to be taking cover right now. the storm is very, very dangerous. >> how far are you from moore, oklahoma? the storm was predicted if it was continuing to follow the path it was on, it would hit moore, oklahoma, which was so devastatingly hit about 11 days ago. a little bit more. at roughly a quarter past the hour, so in 30, 35 minutes, where are you in relation to o

joining us on the phone right now is cnn meteorologist chad myers, who is in the area where the storms could hit. chad, where exactly are you and what is the latest? >> reporter: i'm about ten miles east of chickasha, oklahoma now on the road up toward blanchard where i believe the storm is heading. this storm is headed to the areas that were hit so very hard, jake, and even if we don't get a tornado and hopefully we do not, because this storm did lose some organization just in the past 15 minutes. that's why we're on the move going a little bit farther to the east to get a little bit better look at this tornado or potential tornadic storm. right now it is just a severe thunderstorm warning. think about winds of 60 or so miles per hour and hail falling on those people trying to pick up their lives in moore. that's what we're seeing. this is the hail core of the storm almost turning into more than the rotation. certainly the storm can reinvigorate itself. we have a tornado warning for the area up near perkins, oklahoma north of oklahoma city. we will keep you advised on this. right now

let's go to lisa myers quickly.licans are going to try to figure out today. when did the president figure all of this stuff out? and is he really, is he so disconnected from the irs that he and his attorney general and anybody that matters found out that this rampant abuse was going on in one of the top offices when the rest of us did? >> certainly, joe, the irs commissioner will be asked that question today. did he share this information? he has known for at least a year that this was going on. and that this had happened. and did he share any of that information with the white house? but even more importantly, congress is going to ask him, why did you mislead us for an entire year? members of congress were saying, conservatives are being targeted. what is going on here? the irs denied it. then when -- after these officials are briefed by the ig that this is going on they don't disclose it. in fact, the commissioner sent a letter to congress in september on this subject and did not reveal this. imagine if you can wh
