good morning i'm aly myles. mike: and i'm mike mccormick thank you for being here with us this morning. chris: we are already saturated because of the rain yesterery. more downpour today could lead to localized flooding. flood watches remain in effect through tomorrow morning. we see pretty good thunderstorms from greenwood into columbia. look at the frequent lightening north of columbia. if you are travelingngown the 385, you will run into pretty good d dnpours -- in parts of abbeville and greenwood. if you counties of north carolina and along the south carolina border have that flood watch. after early tomorrow morning, this will all be gone and we get a nice break for a couple days. be ready if you live in a flood-prone area. we could have some more food -- with could have some more localized flooding. it could reach anywhere from 64-66 in the mountains and upstate today. we will talk about a cooler and drier weekend in our next report. aly: thank you, dale. as dale said, our area is under a flood watch. wate

that's where wyff news 4's aly myles joins us live from tmorning. aly: cleveland park has reopened. it was closed yesterday because of the rain. the city also closed the swamp rabbit trail and the zoo and that remains until further notice. you can see that here. take a look at the video from the conditions yesterday. it was too dangerous to drive some roads around cleveland park because of flooding. barricades were put up for most of the day to keep people from driving in potentially dangerous areas. breaks in the rain though allowed people to venture out to the reedy river at falls park. the water rose to about seven feet during the day there. that is not flood stage, but it is higher than usual. >> one of the fewest times i had seen this like this, it's a very beautiful place to come, right aly: officials don't plan to take emergency action at this time. greenville seems to have avoided much of a lingering issue here after all the rain. hopefully with drier weather, it will stay that way. mike: the flooding definitely is a pain for people in the greenwood. some people had to evacu

wyff news 4's aly myles joins is here in the studio with the latest on the damage and destruction from all of the rain. aly: flooding power outages and multiple rescues. it all happened overnight, and with more rain on the way, the threat isn't over yet. barricades will remain up in asheville after heavy flooding. firefighters had to save a family in a minivan after swannanoa river road flooded. they were able to throw the family life jackets and help them to safety. it wasn't the only road there to flood. sweeten creek road, part of lyman street, and dupree circle among others also flooded. a mobile home park also flooded. we saw a man saved by a votboat. >> they came out and got me out on a raft boat. the great jacket on me and cut me right out. aly: kelley klope with asheville fire department says they'll even though the water has receded in asheville, more issues are expected with the coming rain. she asks folks to respect those barricades if they see them. mike: we're also seeing flooding in the upstate. this is sky 4 video from just a short time ago as it flew over caroland farms
