and this is something especially we're hearing from the congressional black caucus, the naacp, which is dei, exists not out of the idea that we're giving certain individuals a leg up, but it's the way of making it equitable to ensure that they're not being looked over because of something completely out of their control, like their skin color or their gender, or who they wish to marry, or even their disability status. and so we're seeing a lot of pushback to these ending dei programs and policies, and we're just not sure where they're going to go. >> well, the concern too is where it ultimately goes. right? because in the initial push to root out some of the so-called woke or dei policies that came about in 2020 during the pandemic, after the summer of george floyd, when there was a lot of conversation correctly, around racial inequity. there were also parts that were pulled out from the 1960s, the civil rights era. talk about what the concern is and where that overreach might come, because there are anti-discrimination laws that make sure that people's hiring practices aren't impact
