i would like to present the 2019 youth award tonight. -- two nate. nate.ause] nate: good morning. thank you for the introduction. and the amazing work you to have done throughout the past few months and years. thank you to reverend al sharpton for using your platform toward fighting for equality and social justice in many underrepresented immunities. .y name is nate i'm a junior at kennedy high school in montgomery county, maryland. truth, i could never have imagined standing here today less than two generations after the civil rights movement. as a proud black american in the presence of many of our national leaders. speaking about my ideas. this breakfast is also a particular honor for my family as well. my mom and that immigrated here from ethiopia two decades ago, bring the values of hard work, perseverance, and compassion. most importantly, a firm belief in the values of the country. the fundamental traits continue to serve as the driving force in my life. parents,ther king, my and most importantly, god has taught me that we all have a rightful place
