local time in nevada. it was a p-51 vintage mustang aircraft which crashed into what they're describing into the box seat area at the front of the grant stand. jeff martinez, kntv weather man, told the press he saw the plane veer to the right and auguered into the ground. the pilot was 80-year-old jimmy lee ward. this is his picture from his facebook page. krnv reports he's 80 years old and from florida. this is him flying the plane while qualifying for the air races. page says he'd been racing airplanes since the mid 1970s. there's no word yet on why exactly this plane went down or perhaps more importantly now exactly how many people have been injured in this incident. medical officials say that 40 people, 40 people have been taken to local hospitals by ambulance and at least one person has been flown to a hospital. joining us now on the phone is reporter andrew greco from our reno affiliate krnv tv. you heard what i just said about what we know there. do you have additional information about the extent o
