tracee wilkins is live in the new carrollton station with more on what happened this weekend and how metro plans to fix all this. >> reporter: good morning. metro is still trying to figure out what caused this and that's what's unsettling about all of this because since they don't know why it happened that means that it could happen again. now, on saturday, for about 45 minutes, passengers were stranded due to an unexplained glitch in the computer system. the computer problem left controllers in the metro rail command center unable to see where trains were onlines and they could not control switchers remotely in is a big problem. 44 trains were told to go to the nearest station and wait. about 45 minutes later, trains were operating normally. then shortly after midnight, sunday, there was another glitch. that left the system a mess for about another 30 minutes there. now, last check, metro's technicians were still trying to figure out exactly what caused the computer problems. officials are still stress that the system that keeps the trains spaced at a safe distance were working duri
