just after the commute conditions will deteriorate here in new york city and then by about 9:00 10:00 in new england. i want to show you the future cast. as this system comes up the coast, it will rapidly intensify. with that it means the winds will pick up and snow will pick up and that's making for these blizzard conditions. by midnight and overnight, that's where we'll look at the heaviest snowfall. where we have this swath of white from new haven up to boston overnight that will continue. likely in this swath we're looking at 2 to 4 inches per hour and that's why this snow totals are going to be so high over the next 48 hours. this storm does die down after lunchtime on tuesday. on the back edge of it we could see an additional one to two inches. here's a look at the warnings we have. blizzard warnings from coastal new jersey all the way up to bangor maine. we do have winter storm warnings now effect for parts of the northeast, philadelphia included in that all the way down to baltimore and d.c. a lot of people are affected by this and this will persist at least until tuesday afte
