this is just close to fremont all the way off into newark and alum rock and milpitas. it has been some very active weather down there with some snow just up near mount hamilton and you know what too -- i can't speak today. been seeing some snow just all the way up into mount diablo as well and taking a live look from there the cam. you see the fresh powder just laying on top of the rocks there. it has been a very busy morning and it is a first alert weather day for a reason. we're going to see thunderstorm activity as we head into this afternoon. current temperatures ranging in the upper 40s and lower 50s and daytime highs today only topping off in the low 50s. so with that in mind, taking a look at futurecast, just within the next couple of hours, these storms are really going to start ramping up from the south. notice these little pockets of yellow. that's where we're going to see the thunderstorm activity. these are brief pockets and maybe you might not even see one in the local area but more likely than not most of the bay area will experience some sort of thunders
