desperate search for a missing newborn is over with an apparent tragic ending. good morning everyone. thank you for joining us. i'm scott mcgrew. >> i'm kris sanchez. all morning long, we have been hoping for positive news but the baby and his mother who disappeared wo weeks ago near sacramento have been found. last night, the mother turned up, and then just moments ago, deputies found the body of a newborn baby boy in the same area. >> bob redell has been following the latest developments for us. such a sad story. >> it is. this discovery made in just the past hour. the yellow county sheriff's office confirming they have found the body of a baby. there's no official confirmation whether or not it's that of justice rees the newborn boy who disappeared with his mom. but we know his family believes this is the case. they are on the scene, being comforted by a police chaplain. a a yolo sheriff marine patrol found the baby next to the town of knight's landing, which is north of woodland where the boy lived with his mother. this has been provided by our own jodi hern
