"cnn newsroom" starts right now. >>> good day to you. we start with the investigation into metrojet flight 9268. european investigator, they are convinced that the crash of that plane was intentional. this according to cnn affiliate france 2. the report says the black boxes indicate everything was fine for the first 23 minutes of flight. then, a sudden blackout which suggests a bomb. aviation analysts say the data would be different if the plane broke apart because of mechanical or structural failures. now we are hearing reports of a vacation flight out of the u.k. that had a very close equal a missile back in august as it approached sharm el sheikh airport. cnn is covering the story from all angles around the world. our senior national correspondent ben wedeman live in cairo, egypt, and dirnl diplomatic editor nic robertson is live in st. petersburg, russia. first to ben in cairo. in the coming hours, we expect to hear a statement on the investigation. what can we expect to hear? >> reporter: we're expecting the press conference by the

live in the newsroom, dan hausle, 7news. >>> all right, we have more now isis. the terrorist group claiming today this is what it used to over egypt. the islamic state has claimed responsibility for that crash over the sinai peninsula last month and now it seems the group is eager to prove it. 7's brandon gunnoe continuing our coverage. the bomb made with a soda can in its english language magazine. the picture shows a can along with what appears to be bomb components and isis says this is the device that was used to take the russian plane down. the group says it found a way to, quote, compromise the safety at the international airport egypt where that flight took off. now the russian flight crashed in egypt late last month on its way back to russia. more than 220 people were killed. isis quickly claimed responsibility for the attack, but investigators looked at that scene for days, trying to figure out exactly what happened. it wasn't until yesterday that russian president vladimir putin confirmed it was a bomb and prompts to hunt down those responsible. now, p

let's begin now with 7's brandon gunnoe who is live in our newsroom. brandon? >> anchor: one of the suspects is now the subject of an inter international man hunt. a 27-year-old from bellium a reminder that the threat is still very real. >> anchor: this is the man who french authorities say is the mastermind behind the deadly attacks in paris. abdehamid abaaoud, a 27-year-old from belgium who has previous ties to terrorist activity and is believed to be in syria. today the hunt continues for other accomplices.

. >> brandon gunnoe is live in the newsroom with the breaking details. >> elizabeth, ryan, that's right. officials suggesting that a bomb caused the pa even to crash is stressing this is not a formal conclusion but saying there is a, quote, definitive feeling an explosive was plant the over will on that flight. earlier there were concerns that explosives, again, brought down the russian flight. isis claims to have downed the flight but russian and egyptian officials have disputed that claim the past few days. but now just a shocking reversal. u.s. intelligence has found evidence that points to an explosion on board saying now is probably either isis or a group that at least sympathizes with isis. investigators are still analyzing the plane's black boxes which experts hope will be the key to solving this mystery. in the newsroom, brandon gunnoe, 7news. on route 20 westbound in oxford, mass state police saying the westbound side of that road is closed right now, and one lane is open on the eastbound side. no word yet on what caused the crash. last possibility there was another accident in
