again the book is called we have a list question here doctor nguyen, you share so many tough stories in your book. yet you have so much hope, so many of us have experienced trauma this year as well. how do you protect your mental health? this is something you do write about in the book in fact. >> in such a really important question. i have to start out and say we as a country do not value mental health the same way we value physical health. there involved with one another, i do and did a lot of work with addiction whose son died from addiction when he was as late teens. she said to me addiction is not a casserole disease and they really did not understand this. what is a casserole disease? her point was that if her son had died from cancer or heart disease in people found out, everyone would bring casseroles. at that time since her son died from addiction their stigma associated with addiction and mental health issues people did not bring her casseroles. she felt really alone. we see addiction differently so mrs. i just got diagnosed with diabetes people would say oh what can i do?
