emergency crews in fremont have just reopened niles canyon road. allie rasmus is live on the scene to get us up to date. >> reporter: there is not a lot of cars on the road now. we have seen quite a few vehicles driving by now that this road is reopened. reopened around 6:20 this morning after being closed for several hours over night. this is a popular pass through for drivers going between livermore valley and pleasanton and fremont city and union. earlier this morning, niles canyon was shut down in both directions. closed between mission boulevard and sunol. that is a six mile stretch of roadway. three different vehicles crash into rocks and debris that had tumbled down hill. that happened around 3:40 this morning. luckily no one was hurt. caltrans crews quickly moved in to haul away the debris. this is what the drive looked like going from mission boulevard to sunol. where that mud slide was first reported, we could see no sign of any debris left in the roadway. but you could see a lot of traffic. a lot of drivers using this road during the ear

(robin) the hope is, that the creek will not reach that point.. but if it does, the water district and county public works department says, they are prepared.
