we're along the nimitz freeway southbound 880 just past the davis street exit. the caltrans crews were out here fixing a clogged drain. the road was very flooded. right now, just about five minutes ago, they have all lanes re-opened. so right now traffic is actually flowing fine. they did cancel that traffic alert. let's go to some video we took a little while ago while caltrans crews were still out here working to fix the drain. again, earlier overnight, about 6" of water was in the road, there were several spinouts overnight, no injuries. but at one point this was pretty dangerous. at one point it was pretty dangerous out here so again, all lanes re-opened ahead of schedule, which is the good news, but as lawrence has been telling us, this is the wettest and windiest day, if you can believe it, of the morning commute. i think commuters are a little wind- and rain-weary by this point. so again, if we got any tips, leave early, slow down, keep distance between you and the car in front of you. when it floods, it gathers on the side lanes. so stick to the middle l
