kimberly eiten is on park.-- commons drive in lake nona. the victim is in the hospital with gunshot wounds. >> reporter: him we are working to learn more about the extent of his injuries with deputies do tell us he was shot more than once as he was try to stop a car break-in on park commons drive you can see how dark it is an that is with our lights but deputies say the man somehow was spotted someone trying to break into his car in the darkness last night around 11:30. they say he tried to confront the criminals and that's when they took off running. he tried to chase the pair down of them turned around and opened fire. the 30-year-old victim was hit with more than one bullet. he's in the hospital this morning and listed as stable. both the shooter and his accomplish -- accomplice are wanted. they drove off in a car but deputies have not given us a description of the car or of the suspect. i'm try to get back in touch with the investigators this morning to ask if they will have a description available and if they had been able to talk to t

meredith: four teens arrested in a stolen car, tracked down in alleged car break-ins near lake nona in osceola county. wesh 2' s dave mcdaniel looks how an alert neighbor made all the difference. >> lights were off on the car, on their car. dave: jennifer mccarty said her dog acted funny, growling deeply around 2:30 in the morning. she saw a suspicious car near hers. jennifer mccarty: the two that got out actually went to the vehicles with flashlights, checking doors and things like that, jumped back in the car acting suspicious and went to the next house doing exactly the same thing. dave: she called deputies, giving them a detailed description of what she could see in the darkness of night. dave: because of the description deputies had of the car, as it was pulling out of the subdivision, deputies were pulling in. they were able to radio to the helicopter to follow that car into orange county, where four teenagers were taken into custody. the car stopped on amber road in east orange county, four teens got out and deputies were right there. ranging in age from 14 to 17, all were arres

deputies say a man was shot while trying to catch burglars breaking into his car. night in the lake nona area. deputies say the victim confronted two men trying to break into his car and he chased after them and that's when he was shot. the victim is expected to survive. the suspects drove off. they have not been found. >> john: two brevard county deputies recovering after being beaten by a suspect. this happened yesterday morning at a home on pineapple avenue. deputies were called to the home because a man and his girlfriend were fighting. the deputies tried to separate them and that's when the man apparently attacked the officers. investigators say skylar francis pulled out a collapsible baton and beat the deputies. we have mike hriciso and deputy skinner. she was hit in the head as she tried to help out. francis is now charged with two counts of attempted murder of law enforcement officer. johnson is charged with resisting arrest without violence. both deputies are expected to make a full recovery. >>> daytona beach city leaders are meeting today to talk about this comes as leaders in
