the north bay like sonoma county. don't be surprised if you see some drizzle up there and then nighttime should be. all right until sunday. that's when the rain will arrive early in the morning. so this is around 6.30 can see even a band of moderate rain falling the north base going to get the most amount of rain from this system. we're going to get up to an inch of rain. and then the rest of the bay area like the east and the peninsula we can expect to get about half an inch of rain from this system. and as you can see, the sierra here will be getting some fresh powder, high. highest elevations the sierra. we'll see over a foot of snow from this system. again, this is sunday around 7 o'clock and then it does dry up the following day and it looks like we don't expect to see much rain. the few days after that. as you can see here, a week from now will actually be pretty warm for us in the bay area. we might see the 80's. but in the meantime, here's a look at our high temperatures for today. 70's for antioch in concord.

but a few north bay sprinkles on saturday, sunday, more than just sprinkles and more than just the north bay. all of us will tap into some rainfall, especially sunday afternoon before drying back out into early next week. reyna john, thank you. so things are starting to get busy. see more traffic accidents. >> like this one. westbound highway for that will pass road in bay point. another one i'm tracking here in san ramon southbound 6.80, a crow canyon road. those 2 accidents don't seem to be causing that much of a delay. this one hayward certainly is. you can see that 8, 80 northbound at winton avenue also heading into the city right now. they turn those metering lights on for you. it will take about 14 minutes to make it into the city this morning. also heading across towards the peninsula picking up as well. 14 minutes as you're heading across there were at the limit along the richmond, sandra fell commute under 8 minutes for your drive time. and i'm closely watching one. oh, one as well as seen any major delays there. 28 minutes as you drive towards menlo park still have more on that

still going to get rain in the southbay but we will get more in the north bay and then an interesting aspect, by the time we got into tomorrow afternoon, and most of the storms ave cleared the bay area, there is an area of concern for anybody who will be in the central valley tomorrow, basically more so the sacramento valley the san joaquin valley. anybody going up five. everywhere in red here. there is an increase risk for thunderstorms as the system comes through, just the way the wind gets funneled and twisted and turned through the sacramento valley. you can get a lot of areas where the wind convergent just the right way up there. this time of year, we cannot only get thunderstorms, but maybe even of those weak tornadoes that we see almost regularly now. with everybody having phones. tomorrow would be the first day of the season where that could be a possibility. but back here at home that is not a risk for us. and there is rain, about a quarter of an inch of rain falling for much of the north bay. watch how much lower the numbers are in the southbay. very typical, probably a 10th
