over the next several days and, of course, as usual, the the heaviest amounts will occur in the north bayof rain on top of what has fallen and what is falling now. the rest of the bay area, talking about a couple inches of rain around san francisco and oakland, concord and fairfield, lower amounts in some of the rain-shadowed spot, just over 1 1/2 inches for redwood city, around an inch for livermore and san jose and in the santa cruz mountains you expect heftier amounts there, over 2 1/2 inches of rain the official forecast for ben lomond. i'll show you forecast model data coming up at 5:30 and some of the variability we're dealing with trying to figure out exactly what's going to fall where. we've got an unsettled forecast through monday and then things really die down and dry out, temperatures right around 60 degrees for the entire bay area tuesday through the end of next week. there is another system potentially heading our way a week from tomorrow, saturday of the prechristmas weekend. we'll watch that once we get out of this current unsettled weather pattern. >> thanks, paul. >>> wh

we are looking at the heaviest rain right now across the north bay communities and it is just beginningin on the rain and i would say in the next 30 minutes or so , but north bay communities, you have seen some heavier rounds of downpours and you will continue to see that for about the next hour or so. the winds are definitely the biggest issue currently, 25 to 45 miles an hour, but we have seen guests on top of the mountain words, upwards of 50 to 60 and will be a very breezy and windy start to the morning is the frontal boundary moves ever have. the wind will continue to shift south with the frontal boundary, but again it is not going to be anything too much longer than the early afternoon hours and not to sabres and conditions will not stick around this afternoon. but it will not be the 45 plus mile an hour gusts we were seeing this morning and wider conditions will continue to arrive overnight tonight and into early tomorrow which is great news for allowing us to enjoy some sunnier skies and drier conditions tomorrow afternoon. it is a quick mover, quickly moving across the bay area
