republican candidate lost the secretary of state's race in north carolina. , the republican candidate to be state schools chief, this is a race i was particularly keeping my eye on, the republican candidate lost that race and with carolina come too. the reason i was watching that one closely is because that is the race for the republican candidate for schools chief said she wanted a pay-per-view public televised execution of former president barack obama. she also demanded the execution of president biden, hillary clinton, chuck schumer, anthony fauci, a former new york governor, the current north carolina governor, a member of congress from minnesota. also she wanted to execute bill gates. honestly, it was a lot from her, but she was the republican party's nominee for superintendent of public schools for the state of north carolina this year, and she lost that election along with almost all the republican candidates for statewide office in north carolina so yes, in north carolina this year, trump won the presidential race but republicans lost almost everythi

what we are seeing in north carolina now, the will of the voters was that i keep my seat. it is about the 60,000 north carolinians, innocent north carolinians, who followed every rule, and now my opponent, rather than concede an election, wants to toss out those votes and ignore the will of the people. these are unprecedented, extraordinary times, and i think they require me, as a person of constitutional convictions, to shed light on what is happening and urge us all to listen to our better angels and defend our democracy. >> now, justice riggs, just for the audience to fully understand this, there have already been two recounts, including a hand recount, and you still maintain a lead of a little less than 1000 votes, you have beaten your point, it has been viewed, it has been vetted, it has been tasted and analyzed 12 different ways, right, and you are still in the lead. >> that's right. >> the next step? yes, please, continue. >> yes, nearly 5.6 million votes cast. my margin was 734. after the state election officials, who do an incredible job, recounted all those ballot

last month, trump won north carolina at the top of the ticket. but democrats did pretty well down ballot. remember democrat josh stein won the gubernatorial race by 15 points defeating the republican nominee mark robinson. the guy who frequented a porn forum called nude africa and referred to himself as a black nazi. he denies all that by the way. but the voters believe it. anyway, there was democrat jeff jackson. a congressman gerrymandered out of his seat and then won the race to be the state's next attorney general. democrats won two of the top jobs in north carolina fair and square. but north carolina republicans don't accept it so they are pushing the state in this bizarre world engaging in a legislative coup in the lame duck session. they lost their supermajority in the gerrymandered state legislature last month. one they created and was challenged in court. they are in a lame duck session right now. before that supermajority goes away. they just overroad a governor's veto to force through a bill stripping power away from guess who? those n
