some parts of north florida did have problems with flooding, winds pushing the ocean waters onto the shore. that did lead to flooding in several area and some damage there. now the center of the storm is level with brunswick, georgia. we have a flash flood warning in savannah and other areas. the storm will continue to move to the east with worsening conditions near savannah right now. can you see the eye typically when we are talking about landfall. this hurricane just parallel to florida's coast, did not make landfall, scene not expected to landfall. it could come very close in georgia or the carolinas as it just parallels the coast. it may make landfall. but the chances are very low. it will continue to impact both south carolina and north carolina through about sunday. then it is expected to make turn back down to the south. it will weaken, but then could parts of the bahamas and maybe even florida. this looks like a sunny thing that's going on, but this is actually the track that is ongoing. it will likely weaken, could bring an additional round of some rain and possibly some hi

florida, ohio, north carolina. >> boy, that's a tough one. ough, because some of them are on percentages and some of them are on actual ballot returns that we've seen so far. so let's take florida, for example. we've had two polls in the last several days that show that mr. trump is leading by four points, which is great, obviously, much rather be leading than four than trailing by four. and the two things as far as ballots have been returned so far, both the absentee ballots and early vote, the republican returns are about 7% higher than four years ago. democrat returns are about 10% lower. and so usually republicans start off going into an election day with a deficit. we're about 100,000 votes closer to the democrats than mitt romney was at this point four years ago. so we feel very good about the progress we've made in florida. when you look at north carolina, the republican returns so far are about 35,000 higher. than where we were four years ago. democrat ballots down by about 7,000. so that net of being about 42,000 votes closer, very go

forecasters say the storm weakened, matthew could bring life threatening conditions from florida to north carolina. rick? >> you're right. it's weakened but pressure has not dropped so we have a strong storm off the coastline of florida and now, off the southeast coast of georgia. you can see this indentation here along the coast. that is where we've been seeing the storm surge today and now moving north but it is going to run into land. there is a good chance this is going to have an interaction with land around the charleston area in the morning hours. we're having a lot of storm surge looking at the second biggest storm surge we have seen behind hurricane hugo. that was a very damaging storm there. hurricane warnings down towards daytona beach. we expect the storm to hold together as a hurricane. and look at the rain. we have rainfall rates high. and that means we're going to be seeing a lot of flooding from the rain that is yet to come. we have the center of it not far off shore. the winds still in that 105 range and we're going to be watching potentially a lot of wind damage for this
