myrtle beach. now, it's slowly drifting north but beginning to pick up speed and move farther north.l bring some moisture in to our southern areas tomorrow. look at this slowly drift north. it moves up through virginia about monday morning. and then by monday afternoon a lot of the moisture is barely making it up into delaware and southern new jersey so a few showers are possible tomorrow. you get a little sunshine. that could kick you have off the shower or thunderstorm mostly to the south. can't rule a light shower up to the north. widespread than they were today. a front is approaching kicking a lot of the moisture out. there's showers and storms with this front. a lot of moisture to the south. it may miss us though because as the front approaches actually kicks the storm out to sea. a lot of the moisture stays to our south. there's some very heavy rain over virginia the storm is not moving north. it's moving east and as the front approaches, a lot of the moisture is gone. so really not much in the way of shower or thunderstorm widespread rain on tuesday. as this front moves throu

north will be mainly to the south, and we're watching this closely. because this is a tropical system, lot of moisture with this, made land fall right here near myrtle beach this morning at 6:00 and starting to move north and accelerate and bring in that moisture witt. the wind 35 miles an hour turning north/north east at 8 miles an hour. sometimes these tropical system bring a lot of moisture up the coast to us but may not be the case this time because we have a front approaching that large storm system in the midwest and they will interact together but actually push it out to sea between monday morning, and we are seeing that rain coming across north carolina moving into virginia as this storm begins to accelerate loses tropical characteristics. it brings moisture up north where we see a few showers to the the south. we have just talk about that. here's the front moving in. they will be interacting together but pushing all this moisture out to sea. it is another warm, muggy day on tuesday. here comes the the front. there goes the storm, we are right in the middle. we are dry. this passing by to the south will rob moisture pulling up in the front so we a

north carolina. watches and warnings are in effect for charleston, myrtle beach and other parts of the outer banks. the latest now that al jazeera reported several days ago. african-american mothers in the st. louis area who were told that their newborns had died. but those babyies had been stolen and put up for adoption. many want answers so many that a hotline has been set up. diane estherbrook joins us. how many mothers have now come forward? >> well, i can tell you tony that the city said it has received 70 calls so far. the attorney representing the original mother said he has gotten dozens upon dozens of calls from people. one from as far away as france, and all over the country. he said that about 70 of those calls are very similar to what price went through. one of the women we talked to was 67-year-old brenda stewart. she gave birth to a baby girl in june of 1964. she said she went in to the hospital. had what she thought was a normal delivery, and then moments after she delivered that baby she was told that her daughter had died. >> she cried. they held her up at the end of the bed--at th

myrtle beach. tropical storm warnings are up. beaches up into north carolina. the official start of hurricane season is still three weeks away. this is the first time we've name aid subtropical storm? >> no it happens quite often. you'll get those at the beginning and at the end of hurricane season a lot, when an area of low pressure becomes tropical starts taking on tropical characteristics. that's exactly what this storm has done. this will become a tropical storm most likely at 11:00 tonight. what's the difference between a tropical storm and substroil storm? what does it mean to you? not a lot. it will still bring rain and wind. we have some things coming our way, though. that storm will move our way. we're not talking about a lot of impact in our region. look at that picture. 10 miles per hour easterly component to the wind will bring us cooler numbers along the chesapeake. 75 annapolis, 75 putuxon river. look at the rest of the area everybody near that 80-degree mark for the sixth day in a row. storm team 4 radar is dry. a few clouds making their way in.
