this morning, investigators in philadelphia are trying to identify a man whose body was found in north philly. a neighbor discovered the man on the 2400 block of north sidenhan street around 8:30. the man had been shot and stabbed. authorities believe he may have been dumped at that location. they're now investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. >>> this weekend in burlington county, friends and family are remembering the three children murdered by their mother. funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in tabernacle. investigators say janine la page shot 8-year-old nadia, 11-year-old alexander, and 14-year-old nicolas harriman inside their house last month. la page then shot herself. two of the children died at the scene and la page and alexander died later at the hospital. in atlantic city, a veteran firefighter is now suspended without pay after police say that he showed a teenage girl lewd pictures of himself. the suspect has been a fire captain since 2008 and a member of that fire department for more than 20 years. >>> police in los angeles may need hugh hefner's help t

mid 30s in north beach philly. we're at 34 degrees in avalon. clear conditions as we take a closer look at what happened a few hours ago. we saw a few little snow flurries push into parts of reading, and also allentown. at this time, we are going to see quiet conditions remain as high pressure stays in control for us. you can see throughout the northeast, it's very quiet. not a whole lot happening. that's going to change as we head into tomorrow evening. that's going to give us a chance of showers both tomorrow evening and lingering into tuesday. and then we get ready for the main system. that's beginning to happen overnight into tuesday and last flo throughout the majority of wednesday. it's beginning to bring us rainfall throughout most of the day, christmas eve, and pick up our wind speeds. for today, our average is 43 degrees. we'll drop down to 42. just a little bit below that average. we'll slowly start to see our temperatures climbing closer to the mid 40s, but by wednesday, our temperatures warm all the way to 60 degrees. rainy condition

of the evening eventually north you'll get some clouds but i think the clearer skies will be north of phillythat will certainly affect the temperature. there's that system down to the south. it wraps up. no worries for us because our weather is going to be coming from the normal. we don't have precip in the forecast but we do have some cold air. it turns colder tomorrow. and then we're just in the 30s as we head into the new year. so it is going to be blustery with winds picking up both new year's eve and new year's day. and then the chance of rain. it comes back in the forecast but we'll have to wait for the weekend and right now the looking like a mainly rain event we'll get back into mild temperatures by the weekend. here's a look at the cold air that's invading. we have this canadian high sitting to our north. it is bringing arctic air in. so now between today and wednesday, that air starts to push in. so really wednesday we are in the thick of it with temperatures struggling to make it into the mid and upper 30s in those spots. the winds will be picking up as well. so the early call rig

especially north and west you see the purple that's steadier snow and sleet mixing in rain here for the philadelphia area. i think that phillyainly sees rain tomorrow. maybe a few frozen flakes mixing in. and we gradually all change back to rain as a warm front lifts through from south to north seeing that change tomorrow night. and then we should finally be done at least for day or two. scattered showers tonight, 35 in the city. 30 in the suburb. thirty nine is it for the high temperature tomorrow. that snow and sleet mix changing to rain and much, much colder so dramatic change. definitely dressing differently for tomorrow than today. all right. we clear out there by wednesday and it gets a little bit better, 52 degrees with the clouds around wednesday but the rain should be done thursday we get the sunshine back but colder 45. bit of a mix is possible on friday. we're watching the chance for some more rain and snow. and then lingering showers through the rest of the week and but because temperatures look to stay above freezing in the upper fours for highs. lows in the upper 30s we should be just seeing rain no big systems
