and it has been a good bit cooler as we head right toward the shore, as you can see in north wildwoodthan just a few miles away off of the ocean. again, just a couple miles inland temperatures close to 90 but there's atlantic city marina, only 80 degrees where again, it's closer to 90 elsewhere in atlantic county. just some isolated showers out there. we had one going through the pocono mountains and another one coming through. you can see perhaps some raindrops in the distance but most of us not getting any of that rain. you can see on future cast one or two little showers coming through overnight tonight. tomorrow generally dry, fair amount of sunshine but there could be some development down to the south, some showers, maybe even a thunderstorm in southern delaware extreme south jersey. be fairly brief, not widespread. looks like it will be moving pretty fast so it wouldn't be producing flooding. then on wednesday, we will be dry and we are also going to be a whole lot less humid. in the tropics, the only thing to be watched is in the northeast gulf of mexico just torrential rains

north wildwood, 81. sea isle city, 81. in atlantic county, 79. well into the 80s inland. that temperature difference is just going to get bigger as we go through the afternoon. closest showers are still pretty far away to the west but gives you an idea there is a little more moisture that's going to be approaching here. not so much during the day today or tonight but starting tomorrow we'll get more showers in the vicinity. we still have the general southerly flow keeping moisture in here, keeping the humidity high and keeping the sea breeze at the shore. then as we go into tomorrow, perhaps a few more showers around the area. we still may see most of this rain-free tomorrow, but the chances keep going up. by thursday and friday, there's a pretty high likelihood that there's going to be some rain around. this is high likelihood of becoming a tropical storm. it's a long, long way pa way. caribbean islands. the eastern caribbean is even far away from this thing. you can see the spin that's developed as tropical depression, 35-mile-an-hour winds moving west at 13 miles an ho

north wildwood, 89. it's near 90 away from the ocean. ocean view, 93 degrees and woodbine is 91.s usually reversed. 90 even in atlantic city marina. that doesn't happen a whole lot. it's only a degree cooler than in northfield. like i said, wind direction is the most important thing at the shore. well, this morning, about 2:00 a.m., we had some nasty thunderstorms go through berks county, causing some damage, and a lot of lightning in bucks county scaring a whole lot of people, and in the middle of their sleep. right now we don't have much, but just some showers near the maryland eastern shore and also some around washington. we will keep an eye on them because some of the future weather computers show some pretty big but isolated storms developing over the next few hours. we'll be watching them this evening. for tonight, chance of a thunderstorm in delaware and south jersey. less humid late and 59 for the low north and west. warm and windy tomorrow, close to 90 degrees but it will be less humid than today. the seven-day forecast, beautiful day on thursday, cooler with low humidi

north wildwood, 79 degrees. 86 at cape may airport. 80 degrees at sea isle city just a few miles awayar story in atlantic county. 80 degrees, atlantic city marina. in northfield, 86. farther inland, near 90 degrees. makes a big difference if the wind direction's right. it feels like it's in the mid 90s, 97 in wilmington. that's the highest number this hour. the highest we've seen was 99 in dover a couple hours ago. we have a couple showers around here and some in some populated areas. there's one right near the pennsylvania turnpike and then another one right in trenton, mercer county area. you can see this is drifting kind of southeast, right toward bensalem and parts of northeast philly. the far northeast there. meanwhile, the trenton shower's really weakening as it continues to move toward the southeast. there's that one right toward bensalem. watch out, you're about to get hit with some really heavy rain at least for a little while. you're one of the few people who are going to get it. there's that flow coming out of the south and as we go through the next 24 hours, it's still kin

north wildwood, 81. sea isle city, 81. it's warmer inland. now, the contrast will be much greater over the weekend. atlantic city marina, 79. it's 83 in northfield. over the weekend, might be 79 atlantic city and near 90, atlantic city international airport. the closer you get to the beach, more relief you'll get. and you will see a lot of sunshine, too. we don't see much moisture out there. the forecast for the shore, especially jersey shore, will be for comfort. 82 degrees tomorrow. the delaware beaches may get closer to 90 because of the way they're oriented here. then on sunday, the sea breeze may actually come in earlier and that's why the temperature may actually be down a little bit. in the poconos, and the rest of the area, looks like it will be warmer on sunday than on saturday. more clouds in the poconos and that's where they have a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. for the eagles game on sunday, it looks like a mixture of sun and clouds. looks pretty hot. 86 at kickoff, 92 by the fourth quarter and the high humidity making

the jersey shore so you can see cape may harbor, 79, while cape may itself at 88 degrees. 81 in north wildwood 82 in sea isle city. 89 in woodbine. 80 in atlantic city marina. while it's close to 90 a little bit inland. we do have just a few showers inland. they are generally pretty small, as you can see. the one that went through allentown continued to weaken. there's another one coming along i-78 in northern berks county. that could get into the lehigh valley within the next hour. as we go through the night, you saw a few little showers around, just isolated, and then tomorrow, a good bit of sunshine but we could see some showers and thunderstorms developing down in southern delaware and extreme south jersey. if you are headed to the shore tomorrow, there is a chance of some cloud buildup and some showers late in the day. most of the day should be dry, though. as we go through tomorrow night and into wednesday, it dries out even more. as the humidity drops throughout the atmosphere. then we are starting to see some changes later in the week. in the tropics, august, we are starting the peak o
