we do have a cool start, especially for the valleys and the northbay.s is the first time we've had four dogs in the dog walking forecast. temperatures running two to five degrees above average, plenty of sunshine throughout the day, just a few passing clouds overhead. nice weather in store for sunday as well. tomorrow, we should reach the low 70s, the santa clara valley even make it up to the low 70s. just below 70 for fremont, just about 70 for the city. along the coast you are going to be a little bit cooler. half moon bay topping out in the mid 60s. san francisco and oakland making it into the upper 60s, and for the northbay your temperatures also reaching the low 70s by saturday afternoon. sunday almost a copy and paste day, maybe a degree or so warmer for the second half of the weekend and the clouds start to arrive on monday. you can see the drop in temperatures that kicks in as the clouds start to arrive by monday, tuesday, and wednesday. the temperatures will bottom out, we are being vague with the wording on those rain chances tuesday, wednesda

those are morning lows, actually, but you can see how cold they will get for the northbay valleys. daytime highs will climb once again to near 80. let's pick up where we left off, in the last visit, we were looking at the possibility for rain from two separate systems. we know the first one will miss us, the one coming in thursday and friday. you can see how the storm track is just a little too far north at this point. we washed that if you want to go, it is tantalizing, but it line of rain falls apart. let's move past that. eureka gets a little rain, we don't get much here. here is the next system. the next one has better aim, that would start to drive some showers that do hit the northbay saturday morning. this does not look very impressive, the totals will be pretty light, but there is still rain in the forecast , you will see it in the seven-day, you could get as much as a quarter inch of rain out of this. if we look at the some of the more optimistic forecast models, the numbers go up at this point in the northbay to about a quarter inch, and everybody south gate just a few hu

we warm up more into the northbay this afternoon. here is what we are looking at heading into this weekend. clouds are starting to roll their way in from offshore. showers impacting much of northern california. once we head into this weekend, the showers will start sweeping and from offshore and impacting us in the bay area. that happens late saturday night. here is the last band of rain pushing its way to the south. it is not that impressive of a system but we will continue to see this unsettled weather not only saturday but as we head into our weekend forecast. it is low pressure offshore. these are the systems we will start seeing more frequently, moving its way into the gulf of alaska. that is what we are expecting this we can. as we head into next week, that unsettled weather continues. temperatures warm up into the 80s with a cooldown past into the 60s as early as monday and we hold on tight to those 60s all across the bay area. here we go over into the bay. 70s today, 70s tomorrow. 60s as soon as saturday and then we cool down

the northbay mountains and east bay hills, gusting in the last few hours. that is the mountain's that separates pleasanton from union city. that part of the bank, we had when gusting there. if we look at the visualization and high resolution model, it stays this way. notice how it is windy in the mountains. look at the lower parts of the bay. we don't have wind advisories. is going pretty good in the mountains. that means two things. first we will stay relatively warm. especially in the isolated valleys. if you could move the air around to mix it up, the cold air likes to sink to the bottom. it will still be chilly. it would've been colder without the wind. we would've been talking about fire weather concerns. we got a decent amount of rain from friday and saturday. we had such an impressive winner and fire weather is not a big concern. too positives on that. >>> plenty of blue sky. even hitting 70 degrees in the valleys. just for fun, what happened to storm track? where will it rain , we will come away with the idea of why we are not getting rain. everythi

if you get any rain in the northbay, it will be short-lived. temperatures will be climbing to 70 but most of those numbers are in the mid to upper 60s. we will turn our attention out that way . a pretty impressive storm coming our way which has not really developed yet. let's go to the forecast imagery to see what that will look like and to get some detail on that one. how much rain might we see next week from tuesday into friday? here is the best way to come away with the best perspective. there is still a lot of uncertainty in timing of how this storm comes together. plan on rain, on-again and off-again from tuesday night through friday of next week. when you add it all up, we could see anywhere from 1 to 2 inches. it is not like the impactful storms of last winter, this will be manageable rain for us but it will be the most significant rain we have had so far this fall and it will get everybody. and you look at it in the 7-day forecast, we've got a broad brush here from late tuesday going into thursday, a chance of rain scattered throughout
