we have been tracking rain and a north/northeast breeze throughout the afternoon. not much will change this evening - expect on and off showers with temperatures holding steady in the mid-40s. there will likely be some localized flooding, especially on the roads, so it will be a slow ride home. overnight, we'll continue to track periods of rain. by early tomorrow morning, we could see some sleet and/or snowflakes mix in with the raindrops. since the ground is so wet, it's unlikely anything would stick. if anything sticks to the grass, cars, or sidewalks, it would be more likely towards the northern part of the peninsula, middle peninsula, and northern neck. high pressure will quickly build in behind it'll remain windy though - sustained winds at 15 to 25 mph. expect mostly sunny skies on saturday. it won't be as windy, but it'll be cool with highs staying in the mid-40s. we have it looks like it'll push out to sea and not bother us.
