more persistent rain towards the north east of scotland and i think that will head towards the northern isleseland. that means lots of showers for northern ireland, scotland through the day and a bit more hit and miss across england and wales and there will be the odd sharper one. still breezy, cool in the south—east but temperatures around average for the time of year, which is doing a lot better than we have done in the last week or so and that really sets the tone than for the rest of the week. it stays showery and temperatures will sit in the mid—teens.
