septa quickly turning over this investigation to the ntsb as you mention, the train off the tracks now, but that's not stopping them from trying to get to the bottom of what happened. so today, that train's conductor and engineer will be here to help answer some of the questions about what he experienced but the obvious answer is that there was a train crash yesterday around 12:15, when incoming norristown train slammed into an unoccupied train, several dozen passengers were injured, and taken to local hospitalization. the emergency response was swift and thorough. yesterday, shortly after the accident, the upper darby township mayor expressed concern saying he would spends the day on the phone with lawmakers technology to prevent this from happening again. can they get it installed here? overall, everyone now focused on the safety of riding septa. >> i think this is a tragedy. that's sad. because these trains, not the first time this happened in philly with trains and everything else that's going on. so something not right. and that's scar. >> i how can a crash happen in a zone where

since then the ntsb, the investigators have been on scene. just behind me here, you might be able to see, we have seen some workers and we've also seen a line of folks getting ready to get on the norristown high speed line, which is up and running today. it's running every 20 minutes, local trains. that is where in that general area where the crash happened yesterday. the ntsb investigators got here about 10:00 yesterday morning to begin that investigation. the agency says 42 people were on board that high-speed train when it crashed into an empty parked train at 59th street transportation center. 43 on board were injured, including the engineer, four people are in critical condition but expected to survive. investigators are expected to be here for a few days, collecting all that evidence and talking with the engineer and video recordings from on board the trains were downloaded and sent to washington for analysis. some of the riders we spoke with in the past 24 hours, they say they do have a little concern about this. >> i've seen enough he
