in oakland we had seen flashing lights pasting the oakland coliseum but everything is gone.re was overnight roadwork blocking some lanes approaching high street but everything is good to go northbound 880. southbound is quiet as well past oakland airport continuing down into hayward. here's a live look at the san mateo bridge. the flat section of the span still looks good leaving the toll plaza. heading towards the east bay coming off the high-rise, everything is quiet both directions. 14 minutes from either side of the span. on the maps, we just checked in with chp -- i take that back. it looks like they just cleared it. there was a big rig stalled in the right lane of northbound 101 right by the candlestick exit. but the question mark means they just cleared it a couple of minutes ago so that's good news going into san francisco. so far everything is problem- free coming through the altamont pass. 18 minutes is the drive time between the altamont pass and the dublin interchange. so again everything free and clear through the livermore valley. so this is what we are going t

we are following developing news from a fire inthe oakland hills. ktvu tara moriarty was there as firefighters contained it about an hour ago. tara, where are you on skyline boulevard? >> reporter: we're about a half a mile from where the fire was. cal fire crews just arrived on scene not too long ago. this is in addition to oakland fire. there was a lot more they had to contend with. poison oak. the flames broke out around 1:45 this morning. this is as crews were pulling hoses. someone in the area smelled smoke and call the 911. we're in the 10,000 block where two dozen firefighters were on the scene. it's in a remote wooded air. but campers are known to use the area illegally. >> there were no campers on scene when we got here. fire investigators have been out. it's tough to depict an area of origin without the sun being up but she will come back. >> and the sun is just starting to come out right now. the wind not too bad. although you can still feel it. this is supposed to be the hottest day of the week with temperatures in the 80s. right now cre
