early tomorrow morning in the oakland marathon, even the half marathon and 5k.had the system linger over us from friday into early today. and those numbers really add addsed up especially in the north bampt you see mill valley, over an inch of rain. san francisco, about three quarters of an inch. as you get toward the south bay, the numbers drop a bit. fremont coming close to .8 inch of rain. that storm system is out of here. what lingers behind it is cool air. look at these numbers. we're in the 50s to low 60s. a lot of spots really struggling to even reach 60 right now. these are about five to eight degrees below where we should be for this time of the year. overnight tonight, it will be a rather chilly night. we'll have mainly clear skies early on. then after midnight, we'll start to see a little bit of patchy fog developing, especilly in the north bay and east bay valleys. in the north bay, the coldest spots dropping into the mid if not upper 30s. pretty much around the bay shoreline. a number should hold in the mid if not low 40s over the next 12 hours. let

oakland educators voted on a contract deal aimed to end the seven day teachers strike. this, after marathon negotiations with the school district and the union.(jrs) good evening, i'm jr stone(justine) and i'm justine waldman. thank you for joining us. oakland education association members voted to accept the contract from the school district. with a turnout of over 70% of oea members voting, the results were 64% yes for the 2017/18 contract term. and 58% for the 20/21 contract term. the new contract includes an 11- one time three-percent bonus for educators. it would also reduce class sizes by one student and delay the closure of several schools in oakland. kron 4's gayle ong met with union delegates today as they voted on the contract. after a week long strike..oakland educators lined up at the paramount theater to vote on the district's tentative deal.. that includes an 11 percent pay raise and a one time 3 percent bonus.

after the marathon negotiations with the district, the education association announced the teachers won everything they demanded. ( james ) oaklanded school district superintendent -kyla johnson trammell released a statement on the end of the strike. it reads in part: "my hope is that this new contract demonstrates our commitment to recruiting and keeping the best teachers in oakland. we know that not all members were fully supportive of the contract terms. i understand the sense of urgency to fix all of our long-standing fiscal and systems issues, but the reality is that it will take a few years to stabilize the district. ( darya ) breaking overnight...at least 23 people are dead after several tornadoes ripped through alabama and georgia sunday. this appears to be the deadliest day for tornadoes in the state since 20-11. lee county sheriff jay jones says it appears "as if someone had taken a blade and just scraped the ground." several homes were damaged by the storm and agencies are helping with the search for people trapped inside the rubble.
