while you were sleeping, a police chase through the streets of oakland ended in a shooting.where did it start? >> right now, no one is giving a lot of information but we do know that about 2:50 a.m. a chp officer initiated a stop and apparently the driver did have a license plate at that point the the vehicle took off and there was a short pursuit. the person went down 57 avenue and made a left-hand turn on east 15th street and that is a dead-end street. we're being told that there was a shooting that did occur and it was done by the chp officer who was in pursuit of this vehicle. we're not sure what initiated the shooting but we do know that it was a shooting. we're not sure what the condition is of the suspect but the oakland p d and alameda county are also involved. oakland police department will be the lead investigator even though they were not involved in the pursuit. it is because it happened on their street and they will be door and an investigation along with alameda county and we're hoping to get information from the police department when they get out here. you co
