obamacare's problems extend beyond high prices. i recently received a letter from a constituent, a middle-aged woman recovering from breast cancer who was simultaneously dealing with the consequences of obamacare and the obama economy. in 2013 i was laid off from a job i had for almost eight years. i opened a business instead of drawing unemployment. this year the building i was leasing was sold and the new owners would not let me stay. my life's savings went into building this and now it was gone. no money to start over about the same time i find out i had breast cancer. i tried to sign up for obamacare the month before, but because my husband and i file our taxes separately i did not qualify for subsidies regardless of my cancer. so here i am, no insurance, no income with breast cancer. i do not qualify for disability because i don't expect to be disabled for at least 12 months. i do not qualify for medicaid because of the guidelines for that. i have paid my taxes and worked hard all my life and my government does not care about

a lot cut their rates for obamacare for 2015. it doesn't prove a thing.ies set those rates in may. most of the enrollees came in in march, april and may. the insurance companies have had no claims experience. there is no claims experience to know what's going on here. the reason they set the rates so low is because there is a reinsurance provision inside obamacare. what that means is that the federal government will pay the losses any insurance incurs under obamacare for three years to about the 90th percentile. they can't lose money. there are consultants going around the industry telling the health plans that got little or no market share, cut your rates. if you don't cut your rates and get people into the program, you're going to be out of this thing. if you end up losing money by cutting your rates, the government's basically going to take those losses for you. you are not going to sustain them. we aren't going to know until 2017. >> does that mean if somebody has accounting-type style to looking at this program, we have to wait until 2016 to put accu

obamacare is very personal to me. my plan was cancelled under obamacare, i can't go to the same doctor i used to, i'm okay, i've got good health insurance but i have huge concerns when 16% of californians, this is an indicator, governor brown says we're back but 16% of californians either have no job today or stuck in a part time job. we're not talking about real california but you know, you at home, do you think we're back? do you think that you've got the job that we want? hang on for a second, i'm coming to it. do you have the job that we want? we have a major piece of federal legislation that reduces the number of full time employees so i have very big concerns for obamacare about what it's going to do to the job market when it incentivizes employers to cut back on workers. we need a health care plan in california and nationally that incentivizes both job creation as well as affordable health care. i can't unilaterally change the problem and redesign it. so one of the things i will do is i am going to go to washin
