there are two major components of pg & e's green tariff proposal. the standard green tariff program and the enhanced community renewable energy program. the standard green tariff offering would allow retail electric customers to purchase 100 percent of their energy of portfolio of solar energy project, less than 20 mega watts in capacity and located in pg & e's service territory. in response to the program pg & e will sign contracts for new solar energy capacity. at the outset of the program however pmg pg & e is going to supply energy to the continuing customers who use solar resources. once the project is developed specific he for the program become operational pg & e says it will transition customers to the new resources. during the california puc proceeding california providing rates for 12.2 cents for kilowatt hour for customers. that's about 2.5 cent premium over the base generation rate. the enhanced community renewable portion of the program would target the procurement of smaller scale resources located near the communities with the green ta

in the last few weeks as a result of the first batch, the president of the california public utilities commission recused himself from pg & e gas transmission rate proceedings and also had his chief of staff resign. now a second commissioner is implicated in this latest batch of e-mails, mike florio is in several messages between brian cherry and other pg & e staff members. cherry was released from the company last month because of these e-mails that seemed to show a very cozy relationship between him and regulators. commissioner florio spoke with me by phone today about these latest e-mails. >> my biggest concern is that people that don't know me and know my history are going to think somehow i'm being buffaloed by pg & e and in fact, i think my whole professional career has been one of not taking what pg & e says at face value. >> utilities are obligated to report all communications with commissioners and today's e-mails are part of a filing by the company showing that it did not do that entirely. this all comes as the commission is weighing more than $1 billion in fines following the san bruno disaster and response.

. >> philippe djegal it was a serious stuff fire shooting out of the building. pg&e just restored power to the building which fire fighters needed to fight the flames. a fire of fighter and jim was struck by a power line that fell down. take a look at the video that you see here. the flames are on top of the building and fire fighters say it was tough to get to the top of the building. there are four flights of steps to get to the top to fight the flames. the fire department says the power line on the engine also hindered their firefighting efforts but they were able to control the flames fairly quickly in the main home where the fire started. the fire jumped to the two buildings to the left and right of the home. the homes possibly had apartments and one of the buildings. it was contained to the exterior of one of those homes but made it to the inside of the other. again nobody has been injured at. this at we spoke with jason smith to was inside when the fire began and he said all he could do was evacuate his wife and young son. he talked about his feelings. >>as
