we'll start to notice tonight the onshore breeze kicking in that marine layer. at all 12 boys and their soccer coach ha been rescued from that flooded cave in thailand. >> what a great few day, keep waking up to this good news. this morning the remaining four boys and coach were brought to safety. the last two were rescued in just the past hour. late tuesday afternoon after the longest rescue operation, four members of the soccer team and their 25-year-old coach safely emerged from the cave. only a doctor and three thai navy seals who helped with the rescue effort still need to get out before the operation is wrapped up. it was a tremendous effort, workers continuing to pump water out of the cave. and both the coach and the boys wore dive masks to move through thguinfoowed behind for the entire 2 and a half mile journey. this is a look at the hospital where the boys and coach are receiving treatment. they had a very low body temperature, and officials are trying to warm them up. two of the boys may have lung infections or pneumonia as well. they had been strande

onshore breeze is helping keep things cool by the coast and the bay. so that's why temperatures will be significantly cooler than what you will experience in places like livermore, you t coming up here shortly but it is the west winds coming in as relief. they are strong through the delta this morning. the east bay hills breezy as they push through. here's a look at what's going on. this ridge of high pressure is to the south of us. but you can definitely tell those wind streamlines are coming in from the southwest so it's breezy. it's been in the same place, will stay there tomorrow and will shift for the weekend. temperatures at the coast, 60s. 90s inland. those areas that are not impacted by the onshore breeze, it will be very hot, dangerous triple digits in fairfield, brentwood, 98 concord, walnut creek 95. so it's going to be hot inland and then about 30 degrees cooler at the coast. heat advisory in effect for much of the northern california, central california area excessive heat warning for southern california and now for parts of chico, redding

onshore breeze helping to keep that intense heat i showed you earlier in the show. there's triple digits reading in l. l.a. 32 oakland. 16 in san jose. clear lake has the wind gusting to 20 miles an hour. location is key in terms of how warm you are at this hour. 84, concern number in fremont. 74 in san matteo. 82 in brent wood. mount view checking in at 77 degrees. here's the call over night, minimal fog along the coast, plenty of stars. temperatures away from the coast will be on the mild side. you can see more, antioch, concord, san jose holding the 60s over the next 12 hours. 56 in san francisco. the bigger picture, the accuweather outlook has this huge area of high pressure over the four corners today. for the next few days, that is pumping intense heat into southern california. this is not moving anywhere anytime soon. for us here in the bay area, the coast will stay cool and breezy the next couple of days. the heat will linger well into the 90s. the marine layer is compressed. limited morning fog if any the next couple of days. for sunday, nothing but sunshin

it's mainly onshore breezes pushing in the clouds there near the bay. and that's what's keeping these temperatures right around san francisco cool considering especially because they wish we could get a little more cooling in the inland spots but unfortunately, that's not in the forecast. at least not for a while. here's a closer look at the bay area this morning. botched. 50 ea. visibility impacted because of the fog. golden gate bridge with drizzle and the bay bridge. so look at the gray conditions out there from our kpix 5 roof camera. it's 50s and 60s in the area right now. in redding right now low 80s. wind speeds: the ridge of high pressure is staying in place and keeping us above average. when it moves east, we'll start to see inland numbers dropping a bit. here's what's going on today: another hot one out there. we still have the heat advisory for the east bay hills and the heat advisory for lake county, lakeport and clearlake in the triple digits today. it will end at 8 p.m. today. we are not going to quite be at advisory level through the week

we're in the 90s inland and not going to see much cooling until the middle of the week when the onshore breeze kicks into higher gear, bringing us early morning clouds and temperatures will drop slightly for inland spots. >>> if you're getting ready to head out the door, hopefully it's not near 205 and 580. we are tracking a major backup along westbound 205. take a look at all the brake lights, just a sea of red. approaching 580 here, this is near where the fires broke out. we are still tracking delays. all lanes are reopened in both directions and we typically see a backup for the morning commute. this is really bad, speeds dipping as slow as 10 miles hour heading along westbound 205. the backup is beyond byron road there so give yourself extra time this morning. between 205 and 680, over 25 minutes. westbound highway 4 looks good, towards 680 and all the way to i-80. this is a live look, traffic doing fine in both directions. no delays if you're heading westbound to the bay bridge toll plaza, no backup. have about 11 minutes heading into san francisco. we have some closures here in the north

i'm showing you this once again, we have a high clouds with a good onshore breeze developing. good numbers in san francisco, 57, san jose in the upper 70s. will check in on current wind speeds, fairfield, that is 33 miles per hour, oakland airport, 15 miles per hour, more reports, here is our south bay camera in san jose. there is no fog but some high clouds drifting into this picture. as we take a look at those dry hillsides, we are in the middle of fire season with these hot temperatures in these forecasts. that really elevates the fire danger. thankfully, in two early next week -- into early next week, we will gradually cool down. tomorrow, not too much change, chile coast side with hot temperatures inland approaching the low to mid 90s. we will get cooled off by wednesday into thursday. that will be the next development that could help fire crews a few days away. here we are tomorrow morning showing you the fog near the coast and portions of the bay. like today, it clears back to the coastline and still some 90s and triple digits up towards clear lake, we have a b range of
