what a great crop this year in california with these navel oranges. but slicing and storage is very important. let's talk about selection. when you buy them orange all the way around, very important. navel nice and small. that is key. if it's too big, it's going to be a thick peel and that you don't want. when they're heavy on the sides, that means they're packed with juice and not a lot of pulp. when you bring them home, the best place to store citrus, i say store them on the counter, do not store them in the refrigerator. the cold temperatures when you store them will deplete the nutritional value because it gets way too cold in the refrigerator. what you want to do is store them on the counter and enjoy them at any time and they're a super food. they're great for us, easy to peel, no seeds. no wonder why the navel oranges are the number one citrus this time of year. i'm tony tantillo your fresh grocer. remember to eat fresh and stay healthy. >>> high school can be a tough time for students, but imagine the challenges facing a 14-year- old without p
