hurricane otto, yes, a hurricane now, is racing out to the open seas. there was a lot of thunderstorms trailing back behind the storm through the virgin islands and puerto rico, but nose are now ending. otto, a big powerful storm really impressing us, but it didn't hit land. that's great. you can see the rest of the tropical basin looks crystal clear. look down in the gulf of mexico, barely a cloud. there's no clouds off the east coast, so that means a quick, quiet period coming in the tropics. look at the map. you can go anywhere from just about kansas city to d.c. to florida all the way up to new england, and there's no rain out there. barely any cloud cover. the only storms are the weak ones in the northern plains and the northwest. what a perfect forecast to get out and enjoy the leaves at their peak in new england. 66 in hartford. 62 in buffalo. warmer in d.c. with almost a taste of summer, 82. the rest of the country looks fantastic. the rockies have a chance of showers for billings and in the northwest. that's a look at the saturday forecast. bac
