i'm so proud of our city. we're looking at violence across the life span, looking at violence prevention in the home, in those early years on and around or our school campuses and in the community we know violence is fluid. it flows from out of the home, an to the campus, into the community, and back and fort worth rhyme or reason. so we as a city believe if we're really going to battle violence we have to look at all these in tandem and how we begin to push those things back. our vision for the city that long beach results live in safe families and communes, attend safe schools and are contributing citizen connected 0 -- to their community. we have bold goals. by 2020 and we're track these indicators each year. decrease domestic violence, decreasing those who are abused and neglected, and of course, decreasing the number of incars arrested youth aligning with my brother's keeper, decrease truancy and unemployment rate, increasing high school graduation rate and also increasing the community perception of resid

antonio is a tremendous leader for our city. in building grassroots organizations but really giving people of color, immigrant community, grassroot perspectives to the issues. climate change and climate justice in our communities. this energy efficiency task force is part of work from antonio and others. i think the coordinating committees goal are to catalog all our energy efficiency and identifying revenue streams to fund additional work. today many of us in the broad clean power except coalition were invited celebrating earth day but also the potential of clean power moving forward in a very strong and positive way. antonio diaz is joining in energy efficiency committee. i wanted to acknowledge to that rodriguez from the department of environment had been doing heroic work. i really thank them for moving this committee forward. i wanted to thank the other new members of the committee but especially our local leader of our national effort called emerald cities, collaborative around this country. the amount of work she put in d

we are making great progress to keep our city and our residents safe.nce ag strong growth in our neighborhoods. as you know we recently opened or public safety building in mission bay and that includes a dedicated campus to or police department and headquarters and brand new fire station which i'm very proud of because it's showing some of the state of the art facilities that hopefully the few station have including the cleaning apparatus. we hear how firefighters are impacted in their lives that those toxic agreed audience -- ingredients are not washed off quickly. working with the fire department staff we announced additional fire staff to the fire department that will be replacing more than 40% of our ambulance fleet and working to reduce the 911 systems and demands and we made those announcements with so very dedicated work that the group put together. we put together a time line we would use to invest in a new facility to employ the statute and keef our residents safe. we are all doing this with an eye towards the growing neighborhoods in the city

neighborhoods and all of our people in the city and since we reauthorized the task force three years ago they have continued to do incredible work for our city, to and even rec mepding that the board of supervisors pass a resolution, last year, that we committed ourselves and our city to dramatically, reduce or to end the hunger and the food insecurety by 2020 and it is a huge task and i know that for the ten years of work, all of the community based organizations from just about every neighborhood that that is a task that this amazing task force has led the charge on with the grassroots groups from throughout the neighborhood and in 2013, the task force published its assessment of the food security in san francisco and later that year in 2000, and in december after the report was released we approved that resolution, and it was ending the hunger by 2020 in our city and with our concrete steps and ending the food insecurety and the hunger in san francisco. and the budget processes will be moving forward and we are continuing on that work, but also, thinking
