owners and how clinton will help business owners. let's start with access to capital. >> there are a few things. once again, it's really important to talk about who is going to be able to navigate the economy. clinton has proposed a number of access to capital improvements to access to capital, but i think we can take look at her track record. as senator of new york, and remember, to this year is the 15th yeanniversary of 9/11, and she helped small businesses recover in new york. she had a 74% approval rating by the time she left as senator. over half of republicans approved of her job. so in the jobs that she's held, she has dramatically improved the support and the recognition and the reputation that she's had. people think she does a good job. she has done a good job for small manufacturers to help the city recover, and as secretary of state, she has brought great respect to the united states and was widely considered the most admired woman in america. so has a track record for somebody who has delivered for small businesses in am

then looking at business owners, then s.t.e.m. business owners. so overall the foreign born, which is the entire height of that -- of that bar, the foreign born are a bit under 20% of the college educated workforce. in our full sample. but among business owners it gets closer to 20% and we see that some of that, a lot of that is being driven by those who immigrated as adults for work, and a little bit, but not very much difference between those who immigrated as adults for higher education versus the general population. where we see the higher education thing really come out is in the final column where we're looking at s.t.e.m. business owners. s.t.e.m. business owners, there is a high percentage, 10%, versus 5% of the population as a whole, 10% of those are individuals who immigrated to the united states as adults, probably as young adults, to pursue higher education degrees. the other thing that we want to look at is the e-2 treaty mechanism, treaty visa mechanism versus those who would not be eligible for those -- for those mechanisms. one of

and so i think a lot of small business owners have those dreams of becoming a bigger business owner and becoming an employer and employing people and providing payrolls. and really it ends up being a symbiotic relationship, right? all of your big business employees are going to need small businesses to shop at, to go eat at, you know, to play with their family at. and then those small business employers need those big businesses to hire the people to come in and be their customers. and so it works. it's not good or bad. we know that small businesses are leading as far as hiring goes in this country. you know, they hire more people year after year. you know we talk a lot about the teslas and the switches of the world, and those are very important certainly to the nevada economy. but small business again is the backbone there. so we need those folks. the vast majority of our membership certainly are small businesses. >> sure. >> and they don't need -- you know, a chamber of commerce is interesting because we've got folks and we've got every size business but the big businesses don't neces
