i'm with the parks and recreation. the parks and recreation department request that we reschedule this hearing to make a decision on the design. the committee has a three phase review on the process. the project has already received a phase 1 and 2 approval. however, it has come to our attention that the project has not received the final phase 3 approval. this was an unintentional oversight caused by the design of the three separate restrooms and were packaged and heard together by the arts commission at the one and two approvals. out of the three approvals, one has not yet. with phase two, the arts commission has already received the findings. the purpose of phase 3 is for permits and construction drawings and for recreation of arts department to respond to commissions comments from phase 2. the parks and recreation department has already quoted the comments into design and is confident that phase 3 approval will be granted. the parks and recreation is scheduling the phase 3 approval for the court's at the arts commis

dpw and recreation and parks have already issued their own directive already to cut down on water use. that's a great step and we've had contact with the other departments. however all important things people can do to reduce to go ahead. what other things can departments do? replacement of plumbing fixtures that are over 20 years old. the graph here showing water consumption, one of the things we've been trying to deal with are old fixtures in st city hall. we do that throughout the city but we do not have funds to use for the installation. we got a federal grant and used that money and paid dpw to install those new fixtures and water usage has already dropped. that's what we are looking for is appropriate fundings to help us replace fixtures around the city. we have grants to help us make that happen. we hope to make best practices for irrigation and fixing leaks appropriately. and parks and recreation and dpw are starting to control their irrigation as well as the puc because we have a lot of land scaped areas. people are working on this quite well together. one of the things about

started working for the city with the bureau of urban forestry and then a fellow named ross montana talked me into it joining recreation and parks which is a challenging job, even for a person like myself with 25 years experience in pest management. some of the programs that we have done, and i'm very proud of, recreation and parks, chris mentioned the conservatory of flowers where we had an invasion of cockroach species. we used a combination of natural enemies to the cockroach as well as some very low-impact insect sidual materials like boric acid and some [speaker not understood]. and that problem is controlled ~. once it was a very visible problem that actually was an encumbrance to renting the facility out for various things. same thing with -- i don't know if any of you got to enjoy the poinsettias at christmas [speaker not understood], that would be used on those flowers. time after time, rodent control, i'll go out and inspect a facility and it's always about rodent proving the facility first, and trapping rather than using some sort of bait. we don't use any second generation rodent base on parks properties. i find that
