so maximizing spaces for multi-use programs will be the function from the rec and parkside on a day-to-day basis. in the events of an emergency, we're working to make it multi-functional. d.m. is look forg a looking fora facility they can use in a multi-discipline approach, and areas they're evaluating could be used for a shelter space, a local assistance facility, a point of distribution for commodities, a potentially unified command post, staging areas, and maybe a base camp or mutual aid staging. as i mentioned in the onset, this facility lends itself not only in the building renovations proposed, but also because of its unique siting, and the fact we have a large, open-space parking lot, and we also have the stadium adjacent to it, which could also help support the renovation of this facility. right now we're just getting rolling on the project, and we're doing a lot of investigation work, and working with other agencies, like d.e.m. and the planning department, and doing some investigative work and doing some soil testing to understand exactly what we're dealing with. the gymnasium --
