. >> i'm pat lawson-muse. a teacher at a daycare center in woodbridge is accused of biting a toddler. and today we have learned she was working there despite having criminal charges in her past. news4's kristen wright talked to the teacher today and has reaction from a worried parent. >> reporter: we talked to one mother here at the godard school who came straight here after she heard that a teacher and one of the owners were both arrested. she says her two children won't be back. police say teacher teresa brown bit a 13-month-old boy after he bit another teacher. brown is charged with assault and battery. this is not her first time in trouble. we learned today brown was working at goddard with a criminal record, including charges of assault and stealing as recently as this year. we talked to theresa brown today about what she is accused of doing now. she didn't want to show her face, but says it's not true, and that in the past she has made mistakes, but never involving children. listen to this mother at godd

pat lawson muse at our live desk monitoring the case of the lyon sisters. >> it's a kidnapping case that captivated our region for nearly 40 years. the sisters vanished while walking home from wheaton plaza shopping center in the '70s. and now we learned montgomery county police are actively follow up on their disappearance. detectives are now working side by side with virginia state police and the bedford county sheriff's office in thaxton, virginia, outside of roanoke. the land they're searching was once owned by the family of lloyd lee welch jr. back in february, montgomery county police named him as a person of interest in the case. sheila, who was 12 and kathryn who was 10 disappeared in 1975. they were never heard from or seen again. and their case had gone cold until this past february when welch was named for possibly being connected to the case. and in a statement, the bedford county police department says its officers had been meeting with montgomery county detectives since last week. so while we are unsure which leads or tips police are working from right now, they have been a
