good morning, i'm patrice harris. let's check in with meteorologist steve fertig and let's see what we're in store on this friday as we head toward the weekend. yesterday downpours. >> heavy downpours and no severe weather that was reported as far as the damage goes. we do have a chance of stronger storms today. it may not be as heavy downpours that we have to deal with, but the thunderstorms that could be strong, might be severe later in the afternoon or evening. let's take a look at the current temperature. 70 degrees around the area with a lot of cloud cover that has ended at least for the time being, at least the rain that moved through last night. it has left us with areas of fog. be aware of that. 80 degrees at noon with a mix of sun and clouds. we just see some sunshine, but later in the day, more cloud cover and a chance of thunderstorms by 6:00 p.m., and 81 degrees after hitting a high temperature of around 86. 71 right now, surrounding area shows 70s to the south of us but 60s to the north. here is the sky h
